Summer Garden Charm Necklace - Almandine Garnet

Welcome to the enchanting world of my Summer Garden Charm Necklace Range.

This beautiful contemporary one of a kind necklace features a collection of three botanical-inspired charms. The pendant has a trail of three hand-carved 3D daisy flowers crafted from wax and cast in Sterling Silver, a simple Sterling Silver leaf textured using lace, and a beautiful Almandine Garnet set in a bezel setting. Each charm hangs independently on a central silver ring. The Charms have a length of 40mm and are hung from a 45cm Sterling silver chain.

The Gemstone

Central to this Summer Garden Charm Necklace is a round 6mm Rose Cut Almandine Garnet. This gorgeous gemstone's classic deep red colour is attributed to the presence of iron content. The Garnet is the birthstone of January and is the traditional 2nd wedding anniversary gemstone. 

Known for centuries the almandine name comes from a mistaken interpretation of alabandicus, given by Roman scholar Pliny the Elder in the 1st century AD. Alabanda was an Asia Minor town where Almandines came from.

Said to be a stone of protection the almandine garnet symbolizes deep love, passion and desire. The gemstone also represents courage, achievement and protection.
