One of the great things about being a jeweller is the opportunity to do custom unique pieces. One of the techniques I like using is the Lost Wax Process. For the pictured ring I worked with the client to come up with a distinctive design that suited their hand shape and sense of style.
or the client part of the purpose was to incorporate old and broken pieces of jewellery that originated from various family members over the years. The result is stunning. The image was taken just after the ring had been cast and before I started work to clean and polish. I really love the look at this point where the surface is rough from the casting process.
